This week was transfer week so I got my new Companion Elder Alexis and went to my new area of Hollywood South. Elder Alexis is super awesome and has been out for a year and a half and is just super solid. He is from Michigan, loves baseball and played football in college. Me and him get along super well and this transfer I can already tell is going to be amazing. I was sad to leave Lehigh Acres, but I am way excited for this new opportunity to progress and help other people too.
So this week pretty much started Wednesday when we transferred. I got back to the area and we went shopping and got settled in for a minute andthen we just got to work and worked through the rest of the night.
Thursday we went to our Zones DT's [District Training] which were super awesome. They set a really good pace for everyone and the progress we are going to be making this transfer. After that we did some planning for the upcoming week and for the zone and went off to work again.
Friday we went to MLC (Mission Leadership Council) and had a training given to us by the AP's. We will turn around and give that training to our Zone in Zone Training tomorrow. I also got to go on an Exchange with the AP's in Deepside, which is their area, and man that place is the best! It is full of places to knock and people to see. It is literally the greatest thing ever. I loved it there and Elder Toews (The AP I exchanged with) is super awesome and we had a really good time.
Saturday we went to a baptism of an 8 year old in our ward and then we came back home and got ready and went out to work.
I love this area so far. It has been super awesome. We had stake conference yesterday so I havent been able to meet many of the members yet, but the ones I have met have been super awesome and I am way excited to start working with them. This transfer is going to be super solid and I am way excited to be able to work with everyone in the zone!
Hope you all have an awesome week!
Love,

To answer your question, being a Zone Leader has changed my schedule around quite a bit. We have a bunch of meetings we have to go to with President Richardson and the Stake Presidency as well as spending 100% of the time worrying about the zone and making sure they are all good and everything is running smooth and the District Leaders are doing what they are supposed to do and such. It's really cool having a super good companion who has been a Zone Leader for awhile because we don't have to worry at all about the basics of missionary work and only have to work on the little details of becoming better and it helps a ton. I am becoming much better which is awesome. It's helping me a ton!

This week was a rough one in the zone, so we were a little stressed out doing all we could to help the zone find people to teach and get some stuff going...but thats A-OKAY because we know that everything is going to pick back up next week... so we are banking on that right now. As for our area, we have been struggling too. We are finding a whole ton of people to teach the restoration to, but no one is sticking...so it has been weighing on us... but everything is going to be okay.
Overall this week was stressful, but alright in the end. We helped a man move from his house and I karate kicked a beetle right out of the air... so that was pretty sick.
We found a super cool guy this week who has the craziest story ever. It's super long so i will sum up... He was in the mafia and was a drug lord and got arrested and put in prison for 15 years. While he was there he met a mormon (who was put in jail for buying a shark that didn't have all the necessary paperwork...weird, right?) who gave him a Book of Mormon and a copy of Gospel Principles, which he then started to read. He has read the entire gospel principles book and loves it and has read almost all of the Book of Mormon and loves that too. He is super awesome and really wants to be baptized. He is a VERY interesting man, and we love him so much haha.
Thats about it for the week, Love you all have a good one.

Man,
So this week was pretty dang good! We set some super high goals for ourselves this week to stretch ourselves... and we hit 'em! It was awesome to see how God just gave us people to teach throughout the week as we worked our hardest and did everything in our power. It was super awesome, Everything started off kind of slow, but throughout the week we got a ton of media referrals and soon enough we had a huge teaching pool full of some super awesome people. We are pushing really hard to get them baptized in the month of April so we will see how all of that unfolds.
We also have probably the coolest 15 year old kid in the world that we are working with right now. He is like Joseph Smith but 200 years after him. It's crazy! He is so smart and young and really has so many desires to know the truth. He and his mom came to church yesterday and loved it and are super excited to be learning more... and we are stoked to go teach them. This week was full of miracles and awesome stuff so we are pumped to keep the momentum we have going into April!
This week while we were teaching a less active man on his porch there was quite the shindig/hootinany/commupance.... going on behind us. It was pretty crazy. There was this couple who were just ripping each other apart shouting and yelling and swearing and threatening... it was crazy (happens all the time there but apparently this one was pretty bad). So the background to our lesson consisted of swearing and banging on cars and yelling and jumping around and stuff... so that was quite the experience. It was a good lesson though. This less active member is super awesome and is going to go to a book of Mormon class on Tuesday and church on Sunday and keep reading the Book of Mormon and studying and praying and all that super awesome stuff you want people to be doing haha.
This week was exciting... and we are super excited here in the area of Hollywood.
Love you all and have a good week!
