I got to go to the temple today! It was so lucky, best P-Day ever. I've been studying the Bible recently and I was able to understand and learn so much. It was incredible. Anyways, that's the reason that I didn't send this until later in the day. Not that it matters much to anyone in America.
Alright, let me explain the craziness of transfers. So, Black Monday was insane. I was soooo tired, I can't believe how much I rely on my normal P-Day. It is such a recharge for the week. [Note from Meredith: P-day is Preparation Day. It is the day that missionaries use to do necessary things like writing letters, doing laundry and going grocery shopping].
Ok, now for amazing things that have happened during the week. First of all, I'm still in a tri [Note from Meredith: a "tri" is a three Elder companionship instead of the normal pair], but for this last week we got to house a dying missionary, Elder Tambakete. [Note from Meredith: In Mormon Missionary Lingo a "dying" missionary is one who is at the end of his mission and getting ready to go home]. A Fijian with wisdom far beyond his years. Truly a wonderful man. Although he was really trunky [Note from Meredith: More Mormon Lingo: "Trunky" is a slang term used to describe a missionary who is excited about returning home, as in he has already packed his trunk.] I was able to get two hours with him contacting. They were literally the most instructive hours of my life. Just tip after tip after tip; loving correction and improvement from a loving man. I was so grateful, it was truly a blessing to be with him, and I learned so much.
A few of the things that I learned:
One of our Less Active members is officially reactivated: Teresa. She is giving us tons of referrals now. I'm so thankful for her loving demeanor. Also, she fed us some serious English custard the other day; my goodness, that was delicious.
Alright, now for some fun stuff:
I was given a Quran the other day. That was pretty cool. It's sitting nicely on my shelf to read when I get home.
Well, that's about the highlights of the week. Love you all, it's been really great to hear from you.
Cheers,
Elder Foster

A few of the things that I learned:
- "The best thing you can do is the right thing. The second best thing you can do is the wrong thing. And the worst thing that you can do is nothing." ---Elder Tambakete
- Stop everyone you see. You can never be an inconvenience. Be persistent and bold. Talking to people is how we show our love for them and God. Never let someone pass by.

Alright, now for some fun stuff:
- There are many play-on-words in the mission, let me give you a couple: We belong to the church of Jesus Christ, of Latter-day Saints: We belong to the church of cheezy mice and rattle-y snakes. We believe in being chaste and benevolent: We believe in being chased by an elephant.
- We're thinking of re-writing the Proclaimers' 500 miles song as "I would knock five hundred doors." Ha, that should be good.
- There's something we do in the morning (sometimes) called "studying Lehi's dream." Yep, that means learning through your eyelids...every missionary is a tired missionary!
- Wife points: Turns out, every time you drop a Book of Mormon or Bible (or dare I say a quad combo...) your wife get's uglier, haha, but every time you tract in the rain she gets more gorgeous. Good thing when I was tracting with Elder Tambakete it was in the pouring rain ;)
- I have also realized that I need to marry an adventurer. My companion was talking about his future wife the other day (who actually exists, remember) and how they are going to slay orcs together. Made me jealous. Yeah...that would be nice one day ;)
I was given a Quran the other day. That was pretty cool. It's sitting nicely on my shelf to read when I get home.
