Mom,
This week was a very good week for missionary work and for me :) I'm
not going to be able to write a novel, like normal, since I'm on currently sitting on a train making it's way back from Central London. I got permission from President to go past the river, out of the mission, and visit some of the sights on the north side! It was quite the day out; we saw the Tower of London, went to the Houses of Parliament, walked the Thames, basically the whole lot. It was a riot
:)
For a few items of house keeping:
One, I bought a really nice suit, on a screaming deal. It was still
expensive. I honestly hate buying things, it's my least favourite
thing to do. But, it looks good, and it was such a good deal.
As for missionary work and events in the mission:
We should be having a baptism on June 6th, the last Saturday before I leave. One of our Lithuanian investigators, a massive man with a heart of gold, is on track to beat his word of wisdom struggles and make his date. We're so excited!
As for our Muslim friend, it's a real struggle to set a day for him to
be baptised, as his family situation is very tricky. So, we'll keep
him in our prayers and hope that the Lord lays the path for him soon.
We've done a lot of service for the ward this week, which I love.
It's a true blessing to be able to serve others. Plus, it brings the
Spirit into our missionary work and into their lives. Mainly digging
in gardens, though. We've become the ward's expert hole digging team.
In answer to your questions:
I haven't even thought about starting to pack. We have so many plans
to make for an upcoming conference with Elder Holland, as well as
transfers in a few weeks, it just isn't a priority at the moment, ha.
That kind of answers the other question, yes, I think I am in denial.
I don't know if it's going to hit me until I get home...
This next week is going to be one of the best in my mission, because I
plan on making it that way. I love you, can't wait to talk in person.
Let me know if I can give you any more information or if I didn't
answer all of your questions.
Love,
Elder Foster
