So this week was very interesting.....
It all started when we had interviews with President on Tuesday. All was well, then during my interview something pretty crazy happened. President told me to learn Spanish so that he can put me into Spanish speaking areas later in my mission. He then began to expound a whole bunch of stuff I need to be doing to better myself as a missionary. So that was kind of a shocker.
The next day we are in personal study and we get a call from the Zone leaders saying we are going on an exchange, which we thought was pretty weird considering they only go on exchanges with district leader companionships. We come to find out that because only one of them has a TIWI (permission to drive a mission car), and he was really sick, and because their area is Spanish speaking, they figured they would take me into their area and "train me" for the day. Well, that day turned into two... and then three... and then four. So I spent from Wednesday to today with one of my zone leaders on exchange. My Spanish sucks, but I am working on it each day trying to get better. It helps that I understand most of what people say already in Spanish... so at least I have that going for me right now. It has been a really weird, confusing week...but I think everything is back in order again and we are returning back to normal now.
We have been working mostly with part member families this week and helping to unite them so they can get sealed in the temple someday. That is going pretty well. There is some good work going on right now in the area. I'm so glad that things are picking back up.
Other than that, things are pretty normal around here. Still humid and in the mid 90's all day long and we are still working hard :)
Love you guys,
Elder Foster
