Man... this week was weird but super awesome! We got a ton done. It all started on Tuesday when we went super hard in the Zone Olympics (super fun Pday activity). That morning I woke up feeling sick but just kind of pushed through it and went a little too hard at the Olympics. I fell asleep that night about 6pm and slept until 6:30am the next day. I was in pain from head to toe... BUT that's okay. We started off the next day by getting me some nice herbal tea to help with my throat, followed by copious amounts of pain medicine and other stuff for my body aches, and by the end of studies on Wednesday I was feeling good enough to work again so we went out and worked hard. I still feel kinda crappy, but its getting better as the days go by. I learned my lesson then and am not going to go as hard today for the activity with the Zone (Zombies with dart guns).
Other than being sick and drinking a bunch of tea this week to help my throat out, we went and saw Alfredo and his friend Jean Victor, who we are working with now. We also went and saw a whole bunch of less actives that I have tried to work with before but they've just never budged...and they pretty much all came to church this week! We have a new ward mission leader and he is super amazing about coordinating with the members to get them to actually do work in reactivation, so the ward is helping a whole bunch with all of this and it is working SUPER well. I have been so happy to see all of these people coming back to church. It's just as special to bring God's children back into the fold as it is to bring them in. It is amazing. We also are teaching a lot of their families now and are working on completing their families, which is another super awesome miracle we saw this week.
That's pretty much our week in a nutshell...other than I found out this week what is meant by "Godly sorrow" because of some super awesome people I have met who have blatantly disregarded what they know to be true. I have really been able to sympathize with the Prophets in the scriptures who mourn for the sins of the people. It's crazy that I didn't realize missionary work would involve that so frequently. I also realized that Godly sorrow isn't a bad thing at all... that it is a sign of the Love that you have for the people. I have been in this area for a long time now and I have really come to love the people here to a point where I "water my pillow by night" for their salvation.
That's it for the week. Love you all! Have a good one.
