Hey Mom,
Just wanted to answer some of your questions. It's getting into moves week again, so we're really busy (again, ha).
[Note from Meredith: Stewart scheduled four "dinners with the mission president"...which reminded me of my favorite episode of the Vicar of Dibley] Ha, Vicar of Dibley, good times :) That's the one with the terrible joke at the end of each episode, right? I'll have to look the Christmas one up after the mission.
So, concerning transfers, let me explain how our assignment works a little better. We are now called digital zone leaders, but we used to be called technical assistants to the president. So, our assignment works a lot like the assistants does. ( I heard about Shrum, and sent him an appropriate letter of consolation. That kid is going to be busy, and tired, and really happy :) Teresa and Greg will see him every Sunday at the least).
MoTrav - Oh my goodness it's been sooooo fun :) Nicky Wilkes is a good friend of ours here at the Visitor's Centre. She's a recent convert that has kind of been adopted into our Zone as family. It's a funny situation, really. It's actually more common than you would think for recent converts to float around like that, especially ones that end up disowned by their families, etc. There are some very, very incredible people that convert to the church, some of whom I've been privileged to teach. If you want to see modern day pioneers, look at the Church in England.
Anyways, we've now performed here in East Grinstead, at the Temple, in Peckham (London, Wandsworth Stake), and in Brighton (down on the coast, Crawley Stake). It's been amazing, with really good turnouts. I'll send you the programme for the event. It's really quite nice: pretty much a musical tour of the Visitor's Centre. Yeah, the Van was quite the scare, especially since moves is coming up here and that van is essential to getting everyone everywhere. We're praying every night that it gets fixed, but who knows, transmission problems are normally the death of cars... We'll figure it out :)
Christmas - I haven't thought about it, I'm sorry. Let me actually sit down and brainstorm it this week, I'll write it into my planner for an evening right now.
Well, that's about all I can give you, I hope that helps, we really need to get going. I love you tons, hope everything is going well.
Love,
Stew
