Mother,
It's been such a wonderful week, it's hard to put it into words. The amount of help and blessings from heaven have been inexplicable. I'm so excited for the rest of this transfer.
Now, for the reason of the title :) First of all, we met Chris! Chris the fireman! He has seriously seen some scary things, and continues to every day. He's also the most humble and muscular man I've ever met in my life. He's humbuscular. Anyways, we met him knocking doors (interestingly enough, the only person I've been privileged to see baptized I met knocking as well, maybe it's just what I'm meant to do, ha). It was an incredible first teach, and he really wants answers.
When we came back the next week, he turned out to be just the nicest guy with the hardest job. He wants answers about why these things happen, and I know he's going to find the truth. We set a baptismal date for him that day, for the 14th of June, and him and his wife (yes, they're an awesome family :) :) :)) will be coming to church next week! I'm so happy and privileged to have met Chris. I cannot wait to see him progress towards baptism. He really wants it, and that's what it's all about. Those who have true desire are those that progress and find happiness.
As for Ian, we've come to a crossroads. It's the championship archery competition this Sunday (dun, dun, dun). It's actually quite cliche that it worked out that way. He needs to come to church in order to be baptized next Sunday. We're going to the temple this week as well. We are praying sooooo hard for him. He needs to seek an answer and not "cast it out by his unbelief." I think it's so hard for people to do that. If you approach searching for a knowledge of God and peace with the mindset that niether are attainable, then you really won't find anything.
Well, that's all I can say for now, it's going to be a crazy week. I wish I had more time, I'll just have to update you more when everything goes through.
I love you all, and thank you for your prayers.
Cheers,
Elder Foster
